We are so excited to share that we will be having a modern Doukhobor wedding ceremony, guided by Jenna's brother, Jason. And just to get ahead of this, yes, Jenna's brother is also named Jason. It can get confusing.

This tradition is incredibly special because it focuses on the power of the community; rather than a single individual officiating, the blessing comes from all of you. Based on the belief that "the voice of the people is the voice of God," the ceremony harnesses the love and good wishes of those who know us best to strengthen our future together.

Throughout the ceremony, you will see us bowing to the ground as a sign of humble gratitude to our friends, family, Mother Earth, and the spirit within each of us. Our union will be woven together through a cappella group singing and the sharing of psalms, poems, or heartfelt wisdom from family.

We can't wait to begin our life together surrounded by this "unified whole force" of your support and blessings.
